We should distinguish between file extensions and file formats. I am not sure if file extensions should be a subcategory of BIS File Formats --T_D 14:30, 22 November 2008 (CET)
- The title "8WVR File Format" means nothing
- For my money, it should be called WRP File Format - 8WVR
- similarly ODOL V40, should be P3D File Format - ODOLV40 etc...
- this nomenclature breaks down of course for the Rap file formats etc, but the use of file formats which are endemic only to a certain sort of file extension, should be declared as such to make it much more intuitive to the reader.
- with four current formats for p3d, the format, should be a subcategory of the consistent file extension imho
